So to reiterate, I would like to be able to record AUDIO, not midi info for each drum sound on individual tracks. However, when I hit 'record' nothing is recorded on these tracks. When I hit 'play' the drum track plays and the meters on the individul channels are moving accordingly.
With the the help of the forum, I've been able to set up Reaper/ SD2 so that the individual drum tones are output to individual(or grouped) channels. I've managed to consolidate and send over all the audio tracks, but I'm really struggling with the drums. However, I am now working on a project, which is being sent to a pro mixing engineer to complete. So far, I've been using SD2 to record a stereo MIDI track and using SD2's internal mixer to balance levels, pan, eq etc. While playing recorded tracks and MIDI I'm only using half of my RAM and between 10%-30% of my total CPU.I've found many similar questions on the forum, but nothing that quite answers my query. I'm running Windows 7 64-bit (Reaper 64-bit) with a 2.4ghz, 6 gigs of RAM and plenty of disk space. Superior is also a lot slower loading the samples than it normally is in this specific project. I can open a new project and Superior will work fine, but all I have in the project where it's freezing is 4 tracks with just Guitar Rig 4 on them. Pausing just brings it back to the freezy. While it's playing I can go and change out drums, hit other drums, etc, it basically acts like it should while playing. Playing the actual MIDI track works fine, however. If I go back, and I frantically click all the instruments, the window will freeze again, but then clicking the main window will play all the drums that I just clicked in rapid succession. When I click on the main Reaper window again, I'll hear the snare sound. But in one of my projects, Superior all but freezes while I'm trying to do things in its FX window.įor instance, I'll click the snare drum, and the window will freeze. For the most part, it works wonderfully, with no noticeable lag while I'm auditioning the kit parts.
I'm having a bit of a problem using Superior 2 in Reaper.
